Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-01-01 · Core metronome settings stay on your device, and we do not upload practice events to our own servers.
On-device settings: BPM, time signatures, presets, language choice, consent choices, and small UI preferences are stored locally on your device.
Ads: Ads may be enabled depending on platform and app configuration. When ads are enabled, an ad provider such as Google AdMob may process device information or advertising identifiers as described in its own policy.
Rewarded ad mode: Some app builds offer a rewarded ad flow that can temporarily disable ads. The remaining ad-free time is stored locally on the device.
We do not operate a self-hosted backend that receives your practice events, tempo history, or preset library.
We do not ask for contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or precise location for normal metronome use.
Use of data
Local storage keeps your settings ready for the next session. If ads are enabled in your version of the app, related data may be used for ad delivery, frequency control, measurement, and consent handling.
Sharing & retention
Practice settings remain on-device unless a third-party service is needed to serve ads in your app build. Third-party retention follows the provider's own policy. Local app data is removed when you uninstall the app from the device.
Consent & control
Where required, the app may ask for ad consent before requesting personalized ads. You can review ad-related choices in the app when that control is available.
Website vs app
This marketing site uses Cloudflare infrastructure and may use privacy-friendly Cloudflare Web Analytics. We do not run site search, ad tracking pixels, or advertising cookies on this website.
Legal bases (GDPR/UK GDPR)
For local settings, our basis is providing the app functions you request. For ads, the legal basis depends on region and configuration, such as consent where required or legitimate interests for basic delivery and security. For the website, our basis is operating and securing the site.
Your rights (GDPR/UK GDPR)
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection where applicable. For consent-based processing, you may withdraw consent at any time. Contact us by email if you need help.
California (CCPA/CPRA)
We do not sell your practice history because we do not collect it on our own servers. If you have a question about ad-related third-party processing, contact us and we will help point you to the relevant controls and policies.
Security
Because core practice data stays on the device, protecting your phone or tablet matters. Keep the OS and app updated and protect access to your device.
Children
TickStudio is a general-audience app and is not directed to children under 13.
