Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on timing controls, saved setups, playback, ads, and privacy.

Is TickStudio free?

Yes. TickStudio is free to download on mobile stores. When ads are enabled, some playback and preset actions may use rewarded ads.

Which devices are supported?

TickStudio is available for iPhone, iPad, and Android devices through the App Store and Google Play.

What BPM range does it support?

TickStudio supports 30 to 300 BPM, covering slow practice, normal rehearsal tempos, and fast technical drills.

Which time signatures are included?

The app includes 2/4, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, 6/8, 7/8, 9/8, and 12/8.

Which subdivisions are available?

You can use quarter, eighth, triplet, and sixteenth note subdivisions.

What click sounds are included?

There are 9 sound families: gear, classic, wood, beep, digital, drum, bell, typewriter, and clack.

Can I save song-specific setups?

Yes. A preset can store BPM, meter, subdivision, sound, and volume on the device.

Do presets sync between devices?

No. Presets are local to the device, which keeps the workflow simple and avoids an account requirement.

Does it work offline?

Yes. Tempo, time signatures, presets, and audio playback are handled locally for normal practice use.

Can it play in the background?

Background playback is supported where the platform and current system settings allow it. Battery saver modes and device policies can still affect audio behavior.

How do I reduce audio delay?

Turn off battery saver, close heavy background apps, and use wired headphones if you want the lowest perceived delay.

How are presets saved?

Presets are stored locally on the device, so your usual BPM, meter, subdivision, sound, and volume setups reopen on that same device.

Do I need an account?

No. Normal metronome use, language choice, themes, and local presets do not require a TickStudio account.

Why do some actions mention rewarded ads?

Rewarded ads help keep the app free. When ads are enabled, some playback and preset actions may ask you to watch a short ad to unlock access for a limited time.

Do you upload my practice data?

No. We do not send practice events to our own servers. Related settings and presets stay on the device.

Which languages are supported?

The TickStudio app supports multiple interface languages. This marketing site is currently published in English only.

Can I change the look of the app?

Yes. TickStudio includes 25 visual themes across dark and light styles.
